Standalone novel glossary tool

Build a reviewable glossary from your novel

Upload a supported novel file and turn recurring names and story terms into an editable terminology list. Use the glossary on its own, or continue to a full translation without uploading the book again.

Generate your novel glossary

Upload the source file, confirm the language pair, then run the existing glossary extraction workflow.

From book to editable terminology

01

Upload and analyze

Upload a supported novel file. Novo analyzes the text, counts its characters, detects the source language, and keeps the uploaded source available for this workflow.

02

Generate and review

Run glossary generation, then review character names and recurring story terms in the existing editor. Change a translation, add a note, or add and remove entries as needed.

03

Export or keep translating

Use the terminology list independently, or open the same translation options, credit coverage, price quote, and checkout used on the Novo homepage.

What the glossary can organize

Characters and aliases

Collect recurring character names, titles, aliases, and other identity references before a long translation starts.

Worldbuilding terms

Review suggested translations for places, factions, abilities, objects, ranks, and concepts that recur across the story.

A reusable review list

Edit the extracted entries in one place and export the list, or keep it attached to the uploaded book for the next translation step.

Review remains important

Generation quality varies with file condition, language pair, genre, naming conventions, and ambiguity in the source. Suggested entries and translations can be incomplete or require correction, so review them before publication or other consequential use.

Novel glossary generator FAQ

Can I use glossary generation without translating the novel?

Yes. This page runs glossary generation as an independent task. You can review, edit, import, or export terms without starting a translation.

What happens to the uploaded file if I continue to translation?

The file, its analyzed source reference, and your latest glossary edits stay in the same browser workflow, so you do not need to upload the book again. Refreshing the page still clears this temporary browser state.

Does continuing use different translation pricing?

No. Continuing opens the same translation range, output, credit coverage, price quote, preview, and payment flow used by the homepage translator.

Are generated terms guaranteed to be correct?

No. The glossary is a reviewable starting point. Names, ambiguous terms, genre-specific language, and source-file issues may require human correction.
